Holding Milwaukee County Accountable for Hiring a Paint Contractor from Outside the County
Milwaukee County has hired Johnson Painting and Interior Designs out of Kenosha County for projects around the county. Johnson Painting employs workers who likely aren't from Milwaukee and Johnson Painting doesn't provide Workers Compensation insurance for its employees.
These aren't the values of Milwaukee County.
Milwaukee residents deserve to have their taxpayer dollars go to Milwaukee workers and companies that participate in apprentice programs. Taxpayer dollars shouldn't go to companies that don't provide Workers Compensation insurance to their employees.
